“‘Whether we know it or not, we interpret the world through our individual and social views” – Group quote

Bird’s Eye View was a group production that was showcased on the 19th of May 2016 at 6.30pm alongside other ensemble performances. This production focuses on individual and social categorisation of ones identity and external persona.

Through an in-depth focus on personality traits and individual differences we were able to develop an understanding in regards to how our perception impacts the world around us. This allowed our group to depict ones understanding of reality versus the reality actually being portrayed.

The essence of the performance was formed by the difficult questions that the group came up with, questions that sparked thought within the performers such as

“Is the person we perceive the person we are?” – Group quote

Kathy Pitropakis in this production played a variety of roles just like her fellow coworkers, the characters that were depicted in this production were designed to be realistically portrayed yet they simultaneously resembled something abstract and disjointed.
